Silver Pagoda,Preah Keo Morokot




1.   The Silver pagoda proper name is Wat Preah Keo Morokot.
2.   The Silver pagoda is located on the southern of the Royal palace in Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
3.   The Silver pagoda was build between 1892 and 1902, during the reign of King Norodom.
4.   There are 1,650 art objects housed that were made from gold, silver, bronze and other valuable materials inthis temple.
5.   This temple is called Phea Vihear Preah Keo Morakot Because the main Buddha statue is made of priceless emerald, which Cambodian call Keo Morakot.
6.   In front of Preah Vihear Preah Keo Morokot are stupas and a statue under the floor.
7.   It is famous for its 90kg solid gold Buddha made in 1907.
8.   The gold Buddha weighs in at 90kg  and is dressed in royal regalia commissioned by King Sisowath.
9.   It is the pagoda where the king either monks to listen to their sermons and where some Royal ceremonies are performed
10.                   The pagoda compound as a whole contains server structures and gardens.
